Origin Story: In a couple sentences, how would you describe your path to becoming an investor?

I had a traditional investor path of investment banking to private equity to business school to venture capital. I started angel investing before business school and launched the fund during business school

What's your style and approach when it comes to working with founders post-investment? What are the characteristics of founders you've worked well with?

I am a value add investor that likes to work directly and intimately with my founders.

Look at our website and see if there is an initial fit on stage, industry, check size, etc.

How would you describe your own personal mission and values, and how do they impact the way you invest?

My personal values are ingrained into the mission of the firm to change the face of entrepreneurship. It impacts how I source and diligence diverse founders.

What do you like best about investing in NYC, and what’s your outlook on the future of NYC tech?

NYC is our #1 market given we are based here and because it is the most diverse market. As a diversity focused fund I love that POC and women are tackling a diversity of issues outside of just their communities.
